Main arena: 9.30am prompt start – Conditions of Entry listed below

Classes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7: Entry Fee £10 to Members and £12 to Non Members

Classes 5 and 6 (Dengie Qualifiers): Entry Fee £15 (please state if you are eligible to qualify)


All classes are single phase: First phase: 6 obstacles not against the clock with a time allowed.

Then continue onto second phase: 6 obstacles which are higher than the first phase and timed. Competitors placed on total faults from both phases and time in second phase.



1. 30cm PUMPKIN STAKES

Lead rein/assisted. Jumps not to exceed 30cm. Those entering this class may not enter Classes 3 or above. Single phase. Special rosette to all who compete*


2. 50cm MONSTER MINI STAKES

Open rider 16 years & under. Lead Rein / assistance allowed. Jumps not to exceed 50cm. Single phase.

 

3. 60cm GHOST STAKES

Combinations entering this class may not enter class 1. Combinations not to have been placed in the first three at 1m or above or have more than 50 BS points. Single phase.

 

4. BLACK CAT ACCUMULATOR WITH JOKER

Jumps start at 70 and go to a maximum of 75 and increase in difficulty. Points are awarded for each fence jumped (1 point for fence 1, 2 points for fence 2 etc) optional higher joker fence with double points – but if knocked down points will be deducted. Will be timed and in equality of points, time will decide placings. Single phase.


5. 80cm DENGIE DEBUT QUALIFER

Jumps not to exceed 80cm. NO fancy dress in this class. See specific rules on next page. Open to all - please state upon entry whether you are eligible to compete in the Dengie. Single phase.

 

6. 90cm DENGIE WINTER QUALIFIER

Jumps not to exceed 90cm. NO fancy dress in this class. See specific rules on next page. Open to all - please state upon entry whether you are eligible to compete in the Dengie. Single phase.


7. 1m TRICK OR TREAT OPEN

Jumps not to exceed 1m. Single phase

 



Rules and Conditions of Entry

1. The decision of the Judges and Stewards is final. Classes judged according to Pony Club rules except where otherwise stated.

Entry is taken as acceptance of these rules. PC or BS dress and saddlery rules apply.

2. No entry will be refunded after the class has begun.

3. All horses and ponies must be 4 yrs or over. The Judges reserve the right to disqualify any rider they consider to be ‘under horsed’.

4. Objections must be made in writing within 30 minutes of the incident and a deposit of £20 must be lodged. The deposit will be refunded if the objection is sustained.

5. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

 

6. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.

7. All non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club Insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Brocklesby Hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover you.

8. Horses/ponies must be securely tied up when not being ridden.

9. No dogs allowed.

10. Riders must walk only between the parking area and rings.
