CONDITION OF ENTRY TO THIS SHOW IS EACH HORSE/RIDER COMBINATION
MUST ENTER INTO THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS TINSEL
& CHRISTMAS JUMPERS ARE A MUST!!!!
Class 1. Christmas Cracker Welcome Stakes Fences 40cms Single Phase Class 2. Christmas Pudding Stakes Fences 50cms Single Phase
Class 3. Reindeer & Hound
Class will be 6 jumps on horse back followed by 6 on foot with hound.
Fences not to exceed 55cm in 1st half of course
Fences not to exceed 40cm(x poles) in 2nd half of course
Class 4. Christmas Tree Stakes Fences 60cm Single Phase.
Class 5. The Grinch ACCUMULATOR WITH JOKER Jumps start at 65cm and go to a maximum of 70cm and increase in difficulty. Points are awarded for each fence jumped (1 point for fence 1, 2 points for fence 2 etc) optional higher joker fence with double points – but if knocked down points will be deducted. Will be timed from first fence and in equality of points, time will decide placings.
Class 6. JOKER PAIRS JUMPING
Fences not to exceed 75cm in 1st half of course Fences not to exceed 80cm in 2nd half of course
Rider & horse/pony combinations may only compete in one Pairs class
Optional “Joker” Fence SEE PAIRS RULES BELOW
Class 7. Mistletoe Stakes Fences 85cm Single Phase.
Class 8. Christmas Wrap Up Stakes Fences 95cm Single Phase.
Class 9. One Last Time Fences 105cm Single Phase.
Horse & rider combinations that enter Class 1 & 2 may not enter Classes 4,5,6,7,8 & 9
Entry Fee £11 per class plus £2.50p per rider for the day

plus the one person who will be the riders helper on the day!

TIMES WILL BE PUBLISHED ON THE WEBSITE TIMES PAGE
AFTER 6pm 2 DAYS BEFORE THE SHOW
Course walk will take place before each class the time of which will be
published on the times list, if required I will run more than one course walk
per class depending on numbers per class
Prizes awarded separately to both sections as follows
6 to 10 entries 1st Prize £15 11 to 15 2nd Prize £10
16 to 20 3rd Prize £5
Results will be published on the website Results page on the evening of the
show
Rosettes awarded to both sections in each class 1st to 6th regardless of
entry numbers
(will not be presented on the day, must email within 5 days with full
address so I can post to you)
Social distancing measures & limits on numbers of people attending will be
in place, 1 rider & helper per horse
There will be 40min max warm up time allowed per rider
All flatwork warm up will be on the main outdoor arena
Jumping Warm up no more than 15 mins before your allotted time
No more than 5 in the small indoor jumping warm up at a time, this will be
monitored by a steward on the gate of the small indoor.
We ask you to please take personal responsibility in respecting people’s
space.
Remember the rule of 6
Face Masks to be worn in all indoor environments around the centre
ARRIVE/COMPETE/LEAVE
Listen carefully to any instructions our Staff may issue & treat them with
respect whilst carrying out their duties.
Toilets will be open with hand washing facilities
Hand sanitiser available in appropriate positions.
Café will not be open at this time as we need to limit as much as reasonably
possible the amount of time spent on site
NO Dogs
No horses left tied to outside of vehicle
We will update these measures accordingly, as we receive more
information from both the government & the British Equestrian Federation.
PAIRS SHOW JUMPING RULES
(Subject to covid restrictions at time, if not allowed will be run as Horse & Hound class 1st part will be x poles(Hound) 2nd part 75cm(Horse))
The pairs competition will be judged on the fastest time with 5 seconds added for each knock down.
The 1st combination to jump must hand over the whip to the 2nd combination having jumped the 1st part of the course. The 2nd combination then jumps the 2nd part of the course.
The Time is started when the 1st combination passes through the start and stopped when the 2nd combination passes through the finish.
If either combination is Eliminated (3 refusals) the other combination may take the whip and complete the course from the point of Elimination.
The whip must be carried by both riders & if dropped must be picked up by the rider
Having completed the course ONE of the pair may have ONE attempt at the JOKER fence(not timed) if jumped clear 20 seconds will be subtracted from the time BUT if refused or knocked down 20 seconds will be added.
The winning combination is the pair with the fastest time.
