Those competing in classes 1 and 2 may have assistance or be on lead rein. Those under 12 are not eligible to compete in class 9. Mini classes are not age restricted to encourage adults to bring young/green horses and may compete in the pairs class with children.

Entries: Entries are being taken on the day. Secretaries will be in the Café.

REGISTRATION AND CLOTHING
Competitors should bring their hat for checking or tagging when you enter. Cross-country colours may be worn. Some cross-country jumps are solid fixed fences, so Body protectors must be worn and up to current standard.
Riders will be BE style Number bib.
PENALTIES
Judged as per PC Eventing rules 2018
Each course will have an optimum time, based on show jumping speed, which will be displayed on the day.
Places will be decided according to the least jumping penalties. In the event of a tie, the time nearest to the optimum time will be the decider.
REFRESHMENTS available from the cafe on site.
Paramedic will be in attendance on the day.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. Horse/pony may only compete a maximum of 2 rounds.
2. Horses/ponies must be at least 5 years old.
3. Competitors must wear a protective helmet and cover with chinstrap fastened at all times when mounted, manufactured to one of the following standards:
• PAS 015:1998 or 2011 with BSI Kitemark
• VG1 with BSI Kitemark
• Snell E2001 with official Snell label & number
• ASTM – F1163 2004a with SE1 mark
• AS/NZS 3838 2006 onwards
A jockey skull-cap must be worn for cross-country riding over fences 80cm or higher and is also strongly recommended for cross-country riding over lower fences. Hats must be fitted with an aquamarine Pony Club/British Eventing/British riding club tag and will be checked.
4. A body protector which meets BETA 2009 Level 3 standard (purple label) must be worn.
5. The Organisers have the right to limit classes under health and safety rules and the limited day light hours
6. The organisers also reserve the right to alter or cancel any classes.
7. Awards may be varied according to entries.
8. Entry fee includes first aid cover.
9. The judges’ decision is final. Objections in writing with £10 deposit will be accepted according to Pony Club rules.

Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event nor The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The organisers of this event have taken all reasonably precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
INSURANCE
Non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club Insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Burton Hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non- Members and their insurance will not cover you.
