Class 1 YOUNGSTOCK – 3 years and under Open to any breed horse/pony.

Class 2 SPILLERS / EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND IN HAND Open to In Hand Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh A, B, C and D. Stallion, mare, colt, filly or gelding, any age.

This class may be divided as appropriate.

Class 3 BEST CONDITION & TURNOUT – Open to horses and ponies any breed or type

Class 4 VETERAN – 15 years and Over Open to Horses & Ponies any breed type

Class 5 NEW/NOVICE SHOWING COMBINATION – Open to any age breed or type, Combination to be in their first show season together.

Class 6 INHAND COLOURED – Stallion, Mares, Geldings, Colt or Filly any age. Piebald, Skewbald, Dunns, Palominos, Appaloosas, Stallion, mare or gelding.

Class 7 PUREBRED – Open to any full bred horse or pony. Maybe Native or Foreign breeds

Class 8 PART BREDS – Open to any part bred horse or pony. Maybe Native or Foreign breeds.

Class 9 YOUNG HANDLER / MY BEST FRIEND – 12 years and under

Class 10 INHAND CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE - Walk Trot only class

Class 11 will not start before 11am


Class 11 BSPA / EQUIFEST IN HAND PIEBALD / SKEWBALD Open in Hand Piebald / Skewbald stallion, mare, colt, filly or gelding, any age.

The first three places will also qualify for the BSPA Championships. Subject to their show rules & conditions

In mixed height classes, the fences must be adjusted according to the heights of ponies in the class and ponies MUST jump within their correct height section.

 

KBIS / EQUIFEST WORKING HUNTER PONIES

 

Working Hunter Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 153cms. Riders must be the correct age for the animal they ride. If this classification is run as one class, fences must be adjusted for each height section.

Classes may be divided as follows:

· Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 133cms. Riders not to have attained their 14 th birthday before 1st January in the current year.

· Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 133cms but not exceeding 143cms. Riders not to have attained their 17 th birthday before 1st January in the current year.

· Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 143cms but not exceeding 153cms. Riders not to have attained their 20 th birthday before 1st January in the current year.

· Open Intermediate Working Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years or over, exceeding 148cms and not exceeding 158cms. Riders not to have attained their 25 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year.

CLASS 50 RIDDEN SHOW PONIES

Open Show Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 148cms. Riders not to have attained their 17 th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. Classes may be divided as follows if entries are sufficient :

• Show Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 13 th birthday before 1st January in the current year.

• Show Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 128cms but not exceeding 138cms. Riders not to have attained their 15 th birthday before1st January in the current year.

• Show Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 138cms but not exceeding 148cms. Riders not to have attained their 17 th birthday before 1st January in the current year.

CLASS 51 LEAD REIN

Leading Rein Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 8 th birthday before 1st January in the current year. To be led by an attendant and shown in a snaffle bridle. Lead rein to be attached to the noseband only.

CLASS 52 BLACK COUNTRY SADDLES / EQUIFEST RIDDEN HUNTERS Open Ridden Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over, exceeding 153cms. Riders any age.

Classes may be divided as follows:

· Lightweight Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, capable of carrying up to 12.7 stone.

· Middleweight Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, capable of carrying 12.7 stone but not 14 stone.

· Heavyweight Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over capable of carrying over 14 stone.

CLASS 53 NUPAFEED / EQUIFEST RIDING HORSES

Open Riding Horse, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, any height. Riders any age.

Classes may be divided as follows:

· Small Riding Horses - mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 158cms. Riders any age.

· Large Riding Horses - mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 158cms. Riders any age.

Riders FOR LEAD REIN not to have attained their 9 th birthday Riders for FIRST RIDDEN not to have attained their 12 th birthday, before 1st January in the current year. LEAD REIN To be led by an attendant and shown in a Snaffle Bridle, the lead rein to be attached to the noseband FIRST RIDDEN To be shown in any suitable bridle.

Class 59 PUREBRED – Open to any full bred horse or pony. Maybe Native or Foreign breeds. Riders any age

Class 60. NUPAFEED / EQUIFEST RIDDEN COBS Open Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 155cms. Riders any age.

HAYGAIN / EQUIFEST MAXI COBS Open Maxi Cobs, mare or gelding 4 years old and over, exceeding 155cms – to be judged as Cobs. Riders any age

CLASS 61 EQUIFEST RIDDEN PART BREDS Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Exhibits in this section must be registered in the Part Bred section of their respective Breed Society. Registration numbers must be stated on the entry form. Horses and ponies will not be ridden at the final. Riders any age.
