Home Work to do before you come
Decide which level you wish to ride at Prelim/Novice/Elementary etc
Try to work on a ground plan, include the required movements at your chosen level.
Try riding your horse to music you might like to use, to get a feel for what suits the two of you/also will help to desensitise your horse if you play music in the back ground when you ride, horses react differently to different types of music
If you are wanting to compete in British Dressage with your music have a look at what’s required ie membership & licences, all the info can be found on British Dressage website http://www.britishdressage.co.uk/competitions/dressage_to_music
What will happen on the day
We will work through your floor plan ensuring you have the correct movements & it is over the correct amount of time ie Elementary 4.5 to 5 minutes
We can help adjust floorplan to work to you and your horses strengths
Look at music to see it suits, working on timings for each lot of walk, trot & canter etc
Filming Floor Plan
Once everyone happy with basic floor plan, we will time it
We will then film it
Discuss which music you prefer, and what may or may not suit the partnership
Finding the music & putting it with the floorplan
Alex will work on this at home to come up with a finished product
Working with the filmed floorplan and the timings he has taken on the day
A Demo will then be sent to you by email, this is your chance to see if you require any alterations
Once happy you will be sent 2 CD’s
If required a 2nd meeting can be arranged
Cost of the above workshop etc is £60 this includes a 45min to an hour session with Alex on the day of the workshop & the 2 CD’s
